B119-B - PART 2: IRRIGATION FARM between Douglas and Prieska districts, Northern Cape Province.

Size:                       ± 200 Ha

Irrigation:              190 ha pivots.  (3 x 50 Ha), (2 x 20 Ha), (1 x 3 Ha) Pivot.

Water:                   There is 170 Ha indented Water Rights listed with the crop factor method is enough to sufficiently 195 Ha may irrigate.  Orange River Water.

Power:                   Eskom power.

Improvements:      Just irrigation.

Crops:                   The soil is mainly suitable for Maize, Wheat, Vegetable weed, Soy, Lucerne and Pecan nut, on too                               plant.  The area is mainly a 2 harvests per year area, where Maize and Wheat are planted.  Alfalfa does very well in the area and the good water and high heat units make for good yields.

Average yields are ± 22 tons per ha with a ton price of ± R4 500.00

190 x 22 tons Lucerne = 4180 tons @ R4 500.00 per ton = Turnover of R18 810 000.00 and profit will then be ± 65 % of the turnover and that is ± R12 226 500.00.
